Steamboat Springs- Routt County

Janna Ashton Routt County VSO

HALO

AIR DROP

All About Your Routt County VSO

My name is Janna Ashton. In October of 2009, I was sworn in as a member of the United States Air Force and went on to become a career enlisted aviator. I served as a loadmaster on C-130 aircraft and remained an aircrew service member until separation in 2017.

Most of my military service was based out of the southern United States, at the largest military installation in the country - and the entire world - Fort Bragg. Finally, after years of moving around the county and numerous deployments, my husband Christopher Ashton, a United States Army Veteran, and myself finally got to call Routt County home.

Presently, I am an accredited VSO (Veterans Service Officer) with a proven track record of success in connecting Veterans with benefits, resources, and financial assistance.

Both my husband and I are very active members of Veteran's Service Organizations in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

We love Northwest Colorado and feel in is the perfect haven for Veterans and their families.  Our goal is to build up Veteran's services and programs to ensure no Veteran is ever left behind.  We have faced many situations and challenges ourselves as Veterans and wish to serve others through outreach and education, in Steamboat Springs, Routt County, and beyond.

All About The Veterans Coalition of San Luis Valley & The Veterans Coalition of Northwest Colorado

Veterans Coalition of the San Luis Valley serves to honor and meet the needs of SLV veterans and their families by providing timely information, assistance, and resources. In the last 12 months alone, they have directly helped close to 1700 individuals with benefits, housing, transportation, VA system access, suicide prevention, food and medical expenses. Their program Veteran Fields provides a therapeutic outlet for veterans to work with the soil for their mental health. At least 12 veterans have participated in the program over the past year. They are located in Alamosa, CO.

In October of 2024, the Northwest Colorado Chapter of the Veterans Coalition became a reality when Janna Ashton came on board to grow Veterans Services and resources in an often neglected rural area of the state.  With the support of VCSLV combined with Janna's unbridled passion and drive, veterans in the Northwest corner are now in the epicenter of groundbreaking positive change for Veterans and their families.  We hope you will consider donating to VCSLV as it helps to ensure all Veterans are served without delay, in Routt county, Colorado, across the US, and around the world.
With VCSLV there are no borders or restrictions to where and how we can help our Nation's Heroes with your help.
